Windmill Point students circle through the water cycle

Monday 12 April Windmill Point students circle through the water cycle

Mrs. Jackson’s fifth grade classes at Windmill Point Elementary circled through the water cycle virtually with Utility Marketing Coordinator Jenny Tomes. Students first learned about our water resources, where our water comes from and how Utility Systems treats it. Jenny then discussed the different states of water, which led to the water cycle. Prior to the presentation, the students received Water Cycle Wristband Activity Kits, which helped them visualize each step by threading different colored beads onto a long piece of yarn. Once tied onto their wrist, they see how each component of the water cycle moves in an endless circle. Educators may request a virtual presentation and support materials by contacting Jenny Tomes at jtomes@cityofpsl.com.
