Utility Systems and local dentist brush up on water conservation

Wednesday 29 January Utility Systems and local dentist brush up on water conservation

Utility Systems has partnered with Dr. Francisco Arias and Pediatric Dentistry of the Treasure Coast to help educate kids in our community about the importance of conserving water while brushing their teeth. When you brush your teeth for the dentist-recommended two minutes, twice a day, you can save as much as eight gallons of water a day by not letting the water run. The Pediatric Dentistry of the Treasure Coast has generously donated 850 toothbrushes to Utility Systems to distribute to kids during water conservation presentations. Utility Systems, in return, has donated copies of “Water Hugs,” a water conservation story written by Utility Marketing Coordinator Jenny Tomes and illustrated by girls and boys in Port St. Lucie, to PRC and Dental Health Educator Janice Gaskins to distribute during her presentations. This beneficial partnership extends the reach when getting these very important messages of dental hygiene and water conservation out to kids on the Treasure Coast.
