Utility Systems partners with FPUA for new interconnect

Tuesday 29 November Utility Systems partners with FPUA for new interconnect

Port St. Lucie Utility Systems continues its partnerships with neighboring communities by providing the ability to obtain supplemental water resources in an emergency.

In a recent joint effort with Port St. Lucie Utility Systems and Fort Pierce Utility Authority (FPUA), an interconnect was constructed at U.S. Highway 1 and Easy Street in Fort Pierce. This interconnect allows water to be pushed in either direction to Fort Pierce or Port St. Lucie, should the City’s utility or FPUA experience an emergency that affects water flow to its customers.

Port St. Lucie Utility Systems also has interconnects with Martin County and St. Lucie West utilities. These partnerships keep Port St. Lucie Utility Systems connected, not only to this community, but neighboring communities as well.

Port St. Lucie Utility Systems is dedicated to providing the highest possible level of support for its customers, as well as leading the water and wastewater utility industry by protecting our environment and natural water resources, relying on innovative operating and maintenance processes.
