Water was on tap for Lunch & Learn

Wednesday 20 July Water was on tap for Lunch & Learn

A panel of experts discussed water’s journey from the ground to the faucet at the third installment of the Utility Systems Lunch & Learn series. 20 Port St. Lucie residents engaged with James E. Anderson Water Treatment Plant Lead Operator Bilmer Serrano, Lead Cross Connection Tech Mark Pisano, Water Installs/PM Supervisor David Reyes, and Water Distribution Lead Robert Grasso. The panel discussed where the water in Port St. Lucie comes from, how it’s treated, and how it safely flows through the 1,200-mile distribution system. Utility Systems Director Kevin Matyjaszek was also on-hand to answer questions. The attendees provided lots of positive feedback and thanked Utility Systems’ employees for their hard work and dedication to providing outstanding service.

South State Bank is sponsoring the event series, the last of which will  take place on October 14, and will focus on the hazards of fats, oil, and grease (FOG) in the sewer system.
