You may drive right by the new Southport Unit 5 Vacuum System & Station, located at 2281 SE Sidonia St., and not even notice. Beneath its Key West-style exterior, it houses a new vacuum-based sewer treatment system. This new, more efficient system utilizes the existing neighborhood gravity system, and replaces the curb-side sump pump collection system with a vacuum-based system connected to a central station.

This structure blends in beautifully with the neighborhood and includes an odor control basin and sound attenuation features for noise reduction, making it the perfect neighbor! This project is substantially complete and in operation.
