The Utility Systems Department celebrated their future industry professionals with a fun-filled day of activities at the Prineville Maintenance Building during the national Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day event on April 28. The 20 participating kids started their day with a Speed Meet and Greet, where they paired up for two minutes and asked each other questions, before rotating to make another new friend.
Utility Outreach Assistant Manager Jenny Tomes dressed as Water Woman and led the group through some Water Cycle Yoga, Utility Systems BINGO, and a Water and Wastewater Relay.
The kids made edible aquifers, plus crafts out of recycled materials including toilet paper rolls. Both the kids and their parents had an amazing time!
